Ah, much better!

Though perhaps not incredibly visible on screen, what you see are the beginnings of bluebonnet flowers. The plants themselves are doing quite nicely since the seeds have been sitting in the beds all through the fall and what there is of winter.

They're beginning to blue up a bit more in the past few days, and it's one of the few places where feeling blue is a good thing.

Many of the other flowers/bulbs/trees/plants are breaking dormancy or sprouting or flowering or otherwise letting us know that they're getting a better ration of water and sunlight and a little warmth lately.

We planted a couple of blackberry bushes and a lemon tree among the daylilies, and I'd be happy if they just crowded out the daylilies with productive berries and fruit. No doubt I'll be able to find someone on whom to unload the bulbs (or somewhere else to move them)...
